2D Works
Using a variety of mediums, including oil paint, acrylic, watercolor, and drawing, I create works exploring the mind, phenomena, and the relationships between people and things. A key aspect of my practice is visualizing invisible concepts and sensations, sometimes expressing them in the form of characters. I also work across a wide range of approachable and playful forms of expression, including illustration.

Live Painting
I extend my practice beyond the studio, creating spontaneous large scale paintings in a variety of settings, including natural environments and commercial spaces. Through collaborations with other forms of expression, such as spoken word and music, I create works and experiences that can only emerge in that particular place and momentIn live drawing sessions featuring visitors as subjects, I aim to capture not only each individual’s unique character, but also the atmosphere of the space and the connections between people. Through the artwork, I share a once in a lifetime moment with others, giving form to memories that belong uniquely to that time and place.

Portrait projects
Portraits can hold deep meaning for the people portrayed and those who know them well, while they may not necessarily hold the same value or interest for others.
Through portraiture, this project explores the questions of “What gives something value?” and “What captures people’s interest?” By approaching portraiture in various ways, I examine and rediscover human relationships, connections with society, and the value we place on things.
I also see portraiture as a unique tool for connecting with strangers in different places. As part of the project, I draw people I meet while traveling, capturing them together with the landscapes and atmosphere of the places where we encounter one another.
Group Portraits
In a space filled with people, I capture those present through live drawing.
The work expresses the joy of discovering one’s own presence within a crowd, while exploring how the overlapping presence of each individual creates a larger atmosphere and landscape.

Music and portrait
This is an experiment in imagining the inner world and atmosphere of people I have never met, using their photo and favorite music as clues, and expressing these impressions through semi abstract portraits.

It might be you
After COVID 19, this project turned its attention to everyday life, documenting scenes from daily life in Singapore.

The Power of the Gaze
On circular canvases, I paint the upper half of faces, leaving the mouth out of view, exploring the unsettling sense of anonymity and the pressure of the gaze.

Become the main character of the story
A series where participants add their portrait to the blank panel and become the main character of a one page comic.

The Balance of Kawaii
This project began as an experiment exploring whether there are common elements in colors and compositions that people tend to find “Kawaii.” I created portraits designed to bring an involuntary smile to the viewer’s face.
Today, these portraits are also enjoyed as commemorative pieces and gifts, and I continue to receive many commissions.

Exhibitions
I regularly exhibit my work in Japan and Singapore.
